About Early Years HR
Sophie’s first experience in the early years sector was in 2013 when set established the HR function for South East nursery group who were growing through acquisitions. Sophie knows what it’s like for nursery managers/owners who might be starting from scratch and those who are acquiring new nurseries into their group.
Since starting Early Years HR, Sophie has worked with individual nurseries, standalone pre-schools and groups of 40+ settings. Working with owners, managers, and in-house teams Sophie is there to provide tailored support for every client. Her roles have included an Interim Head of Operations for a growing nursery group in the South East, and in 2019 Sophie’s experience expanded further to include becoming a Director of a day nursery.
While setting-up a day nursery from scratch in 2019, Sophie also supported on an acquisition and then in 2023 was part of a team of four who opened a second nursery from scratch. Having also gone through the sales process of three nurseries in 2024, Sophie is well positioned to support nursery owners at any stage of their business. She has also supported this as part of a management consultancy role, advising and supporting private owners and businesses through the process of opening and running successful nurseries.
